Travel in the city:

  • Make sure to fly into MEX Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez

  • From the airport use Uber Black or Comfort. Pickup from door 7 and below

  • Otherwise use Official Taxi Booking booths inside the terminal - don’t take taxis without a booking

  • Do not pick up a car randomly off the street anywhere - EVER!

  • We do not recommend renting a car - the city is massive and even locals get lost + never guaranteed parking + traffic is not fun

  • The city is very walkable with beautiful neighborhoods

  • Crossing the road - use crossings, follow lights ( and locals ) and be very vigilant. Sometimes you will find yourself a little stranded - the road system is unique - be very vigilant, traffic moves fast.

  • When travelling completely across a neighborhood or to other areas of the city using Uber is advisable - it's very reasonable

  • The subway is a good system - and notorious for pick pockets

  • Account for traffic - it's bad always - give yourself a 15-30min buffer

  • Google Maps - download the local area so you can use it offline
